songwriting/voice grad programs in nyc
I'm 28 years old and already have a bachelor's degree, so I'm not looking for an undergrad program. I'm wondering if there are any good songwriting or voice programs for popular/contemporary music in NYC? I see Berklee's program, but I'm wondering if there are more inexpensive options or even just courses that aren't a masters degree that are effective. Open to grad programs though, if they're good. I'm hoping to pivot to a career in music and am really looking for a concentrated way to delve into songwriting and singing a lot more, so I can see how being in a school setting would help give me the kind of focused learning and network that I want. edit: to clarify, i am looking for specific courses, programs, names of teachers, etc. that focus on building the SKILLS in songwriting/singing. I am not so much in need of building a brand, working on my performance, etc. as i feel that i already am supplementing those aspects of a music career elsewhere. thanks! (:
