Surgery for a deviated nasal septum, after a month and a half with my nose I can't breathe

I had surgery on my deviated nasal septum a month and a half ago, but I'm still having terrible breathing. Is this normal? I'm fine with naphazoline spray alone, but I risk becoming addicted, and I'd like to avoid that. However, the surgery didn't reduce my turbinates; they simply lateralized them, as reported on my hospital discharge form. Should I have surgery to reduce my turbinates? Because honestly, I'm not noticing any benefit. Totally zero, I'm breathing like before. Out of "ignorance" I thought that fixing the deviated nose would be enough, but no.
