"Developing" apps for Badminton
So, I'm in the process of vibe-coding some apps in Claude as the previous developer of the app used by my club no longer exists
1- Training app.
- Records session times,
- Sort players into groups depending on coaches
- Tracks how players pay, and provides handy totals at the end
- Also records what coaches showed up
- Optionally - Can also record player details, emergency contacts, contacts, phone
- Notes to discuss what training was done can be incorporated as well
- Check in page, can search by name, players are listed by name, and then gap if not there for more than 3 months
- Pricing Tiers, options for Vouchers
- Shows expected takings
2- Traditional Pegboard.
- Set round timers, set breaks,
- Database records skill level, gender (m/f/other), name,
- once again can contain PII, but not required
- When last played
- How many times played in the last time period
- Pricing tiers can be set (member, Visitor, concession etc)
- Can set number of courts (1-32), will display what court number people are on
- Full auto generated mode, with skill matrix (that the club can decide on)
- Manual mode, so the club can dictate who plays with who, and clearly shows who played last session to try and prevent the cries of I played with him an hour ago
- Session cap/limits
- Attendance only (makes tracking easier than bloody printouts / book etc)
- Display rounds on 2nd monitor
Anyone keen to try it out :)
Based on node.js and python with electron to do the PWA install etc.
Local database, no cloud, no apps, designed to run on laptop, data to external TV for courts etc
It's not badminton specific, all the fields are changeable, club names, the lot
