What role and industry do you work in? If you left marketing, what do you do now?
I’m approaching 45, and have been a VP of Marketing at multiple tech startups.
After being laid off twice in the past three years, I’ve had enough of the “growth at all costs” mentality and always worrying about the next round of RIFs.
My son is young for his grade, which means he’ll be eligible to play two seasons of 14u travel ball over his 8th and 9th grade years.
He’s 12 and is holding his own on a AAA 13u travel team that plays roughly 60 games over the spring/summer and will be going to a high school that isn’t highly competitive and no dedicated summer travel team.
Would it be better for his development to play another season of 14u travel ball so he can get more reps or should he play on his freshmen team so he begins playing with the guys he’ll be playing with over his HS career?
