Pipedrive users: are you still reconciling sales commissions in Excel?

I'm looking to understand how small sales teams using Pipedrive actually handle monthly commission payouts.

I'm evaluating a lightweight tool that reads won deals, calculates expected commissions using your agreed rules, tracks adjustments and paid/unpaid status, and exports a monthly statement. It wouldn't move money or replace payroll.

If you're currently doing this in spreadsheets:

  • How many reps are you managing?
  • What takes the most manual work each month?
  • Are commissions earned when deals are won or when customers pay?
  • Would eliminating that reconciliation work be worth around €49/month for your team?

I'm looking for one real Pipedrive team willing to test a working paid pilot, not just feedback that the idea sounds good. No payment or commitment needed now.

Does anyone here need manager approval before a Pipedrive deal can move stages or be marked Won?

Curious how people handle this in real Pipedrive setups.

Example: a rep wants to move a deal into Proposal / Contract / Won, but because of deal value, discount, payment terms, or some other condition, a manager or finance person needs to approve it first.

I know you can approximate parts of this with required fields and automations, but I’m specifically wondering about a proper approval flow where:

rep requests approval → right person approves/rejects → approval is recorded → deal can continue.

Is this actually a recurring problem for anyone here?

If you already solve it, what do you use?

And if there were a lightweight native Pipedrive add-on just for this, rather than a full CPQ system, would you actually install it?

I built a native checklist inside Pipedrive Deals. would you actually use this?

I kept seeing people ask for simple checklists/sub-tasks inside Deals, so I built the smallest working version to test the idea.

It sits directly inside the Deal page, tracks checklist progress per deal, and survives refreshes.

I’m deliberately not building a full project-management system or adding a bunch of features yet.

What I actually want to know:

Would you install and use this in a real Pipedrive workflow?

If yes, what is the one thing it would absolutely need before you could use it?

I’m looking for 2–3 real Pipedrive users willing to test it once it’s externally installable.
