Zanjeerain
When everyone is hooting fot Sarbiya I think zanjeerain is not a love story it's a story of people desires remain unaccomplished.Lets start with
1.Sarbuland wanted to persue his education in America and then wanted to come back for marriage with bano and again wanted to settle in America but sudden murders of his brother and a promise from him that if anything happens to sherdil he will be the new ruler fastened him then his friend Mudassir murder and now Bano has not only given him sudden traumas but also huge responsibilities of ruling his tribal area and to look after his friend's Mudassir's widow Rabiya.
2.Rabiya was an enthusiastic entrepreneur who ran her small dhaba with her brother and uncle and dreamt of having her own restaurant but bound to marry Mudassir because of Torsam's fear and when she was finally happy with Mudassir ,her husband was killed by Torsam.
3.Bano wanted to marry Sarbuland but not only found out his brother' true colors but also got killed by her brother accidentally.
4.Sohrab wants to rule tribal area but nepotism did not only made him just a follower of his cousins but rage in his blood made him a murderer of his cousin,cousin's wife and now also accidentally his sister Bano.
5.Torsam wants the status of acceptance as Sherdil,Sarbuland and Sohrab's are having but firstly (that's is not his fault at all) being a step son and brother made him felt left out as his step mom never accepted him then he became a rebel (as we say villians are not born they are made by the society) he became a criminal by exploitation of his uncle Zafran khan against his paternal family that when Rabia refused to marry him he couldn't take another rejection and killed Mudassir(that is entirely his fault).
5.Shireen wants to marry Sohrab and for that she is doing anything possible from poisoning Sherdil to help Sohrab in his crimes.
6.Adnan Siddiqui as Zafran Khan wants to kill each and every member of Hayat khan's family not only for enemosity but he wants the control of the tribal area ruling by Sarbuland now.
Long story short every character is layered and wants to live their lives on their own terms but are restricted by people, circumstances and responsibilities.Thats why it's zanjeerain not taqdeerein(destinies)
It's a story of void, compulsion and trauma not how destiny is working to make two people who even don't have feelings for each other comes together and live happily ever after.
