Help with maps of the Bosna and Kosova Vilâyâtı (1325)

Greetings Osmanlıca uzmanları

Thanks to u/biriki, who very generously provided a transliteration of the title page of the atlas, Memâlik-i Mahrûse-i Şâhâneye mahsûs mükemmel ve mufassal atlas (1325 [1909/1910]), I know that ChatGPT cannot be relied upon for transliterations of this work (see https://www.reddit.com/r/OttomanTurkish/s/u64gIbcKfP).

With this in mind, I am hoping that someone might be kind enough to correct/confirm ChatGPT’s transliterations of the sancaklar labeled on the maps of the Bosna and Kosova Vilâyâtı, and with respect to the latter, if Bulgaria is identified as “Bulġâristân Krallığı” as opposed to “Bulġâristân Prensliği”.

ChatGPT identifies Bulgaria as “Bulġâristân Krallığı”, which, given the publication date of the atlas, makes sense as Prince Ferdinand I declared the independence of the Principality of Bulgaria on 22 September/October 5 1908.

Figure 1 is the map of the Bosna Vilâyeti. Figure 2 labels each sancak according to ChatGPT’s transcriptions:

>Bihaç Sancağı

>Banya Luka Sancağı

>İzvornik Sancağı

>Travnik Sancağı

>Saray Sancağı

>Hersek Sancağı

Figure 3 is the map of the Kosova Vilâyeti. ChatGPT identified the sancaklar as:

>Taşlıca Sancağı

>Prizren Sancağı

>Yeni Pazar Sancağı

>Priştine Sancağı

>Üsküp Sancağı

>İpek Sancağı

My gratitude in advance.

–M

Help with the title page of an Ottoman-Turkish atlas (1325)

Greetings Osmanlıca uzmanları,

I am hoping someone would be kind enough to transcribe (in the original script) the title page from an Ottoman-Turkish atlas, published in 1325 (1909/1910).

The atlas, an exemplar of which is housed at the David Rumsey Map Center at Stanford University, is catalogued as follows:

>Mehmet Nasrullah, Mehmet Rushtu, and Mehmet Eshref. Memalik-i Mahruse-yi Shahaneʼye mahsus : Mukemmel ve mufassal atlas. Kitaphane-yi Tefeyyuz. Istanbul: Shirket-i Murettibiye Matbaasi - 1325 (1909). https://searchworks.stanford.edu/view/12834726.

Out of curiosity, I asked ChatGPT to transcribe and transliterate the text of the title page, and the results do not conform to the aforementioned bibliographical details; however, I know from personal experience that the AI is quite error-prone.

In short, I am looking for a second opinion—a transcription of the Ottoman-Turkish text in the original script, which may be too tall an order, but I figure it does not hurt to ask.

A high-resolution image of the title page is available here: https://www.davidrumsey.com/luna/servlet/s/993zb8.

Figure 1 is of the title page. Figures 2–7 are of the title page broken down into sections, each followed by the transcription and transliteration provided by ChatGPT.
