Can sim racing actually translate to real driving… or am I just coping?
I’ve been sim racing for quite a while now (iRacing / ACC mostly), and at this point I’m starting to wonder if I’m just convincing myself I can “almost drive for real” 😅
I know things like braking points, consistency, race awareness etc. are supposed to carry over, but I’ve never actually driven on track so I have no idea how much of that is real vs just sim confidence.
Has anyone here actually gone from sim racing to real track days or racing? Curious how big the gap really is.
