Alucard's age when Lisa died

When I watched the musical, he was portrayed as a child at the time of her death. Since the musical has generally been very faithful to the game's lore, it reminded me of Succubus calling him a "little boy" in Symphony of the Night, a line that the musical also references. That made me wonder if the developers always intended for Alucard to be a child when Lisa died.

In the games, Lisa died in 1470, while Castlevania III takes place in 1476. Since Alucard's exact age has always been debated, if he was indeed still a child when Lisa died, would that put him somewhere in his teens by the events of CV3?

Alucard's portrait in Belmont's Curse

Hopefully, this guy stays asleep, or at most just shows up in a brief flashback.
