The selective obtuseness people apply to Amane when discussing her is the reason we have all of this stupid questions.
When it comes to the topic of Amane's character, something I have noticed is that some of the people who argue that Amane needs a Guilty verdict can quite literally never stay consistent. At first it was that "Oh, Amane needs to change because she has not said that she is sorry, so she will kill again" But now that Amane has openly sobbed her heart out and has shown clear distress over the fact has killed someone, now the goal post for the arguement to vote Amane Guilty has changed to "Amane is too far gone, she must be punished" Like when you realize the fact that these people never look at Amane in good faith or make an effort to understand her motives and trauma, all of these horrible questions we are getting make sense. The Fandom has a reading comprehension issue. We get literal text stating Amane was punished for breaking her doctrine, but someone asks if she ever broke it. We also get questions asking if Amane hated being punished, It is exhausting, and we the people who pay attention get punished because the creators decide to appeal to casuals who cannot tell their elbows from their asses and answer the most mind numbing questions.
