May In/Out

May In/Out

After a couple of experiments, I'm coming back to Field Notes. In: Is a river alive? Out: Mukama Topo Notebook

I switched from FN to Moleskine Cahier previously and although the paper is really thin, I got used to it. The value is there (more pages and lower price) and I liked carrying it. After that one, I tried Mukama Topo Notebook (something special for my friends in EU). It goes for 10 EUR/3pack, same dimensions as FN, 48 pages of 5mm dot grid but the paper is freakin 140gsm and it's a joy to write on. I decorated mine with a Bellroy owl but it still lacked the character of Field Notes and I'm glad I'm back :)

This is happiness

99% of my reading is in pitch dark as my family is sleeping next to me. I don't complain, I love that feeling and would never want to change it. However, there are some rare days when I get to spend an hour or an hour and a half alone on our patio with a cigar and a book and those moments are really special. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy it, for me, this picture speaks calmness and enjoyment :)
