Hyannis 2600 Meeting - Friday, June 5th
Monthly 2600 meetup is Friday, June 5th.
2600 meetings are informal monthly gatherings for hackers, makers, and anyone curious about technology. No agenda, no membership, just conversation. Bring a project if you've got something to share.
I'm prepping a talk for HOPE 26 in NYC this August on the apps I've built for open source AI smart glasses: the good, the bad, and the ugly. Happy to get into it Friday.
All welcome.
Where: 246 North St, Hyannis | Time: 5-7pm
Memorial Day Traffic
Sagamore Bridge traffic peaked around noon today — up to 50 minute delay from Orleans, 40 minute delay from Yarmouth, 20 minute delay from Sandwich. Bourne Bridge delays were much lighter, topping out around 12 minutes. Everything cleared by about 4:30PM.
https://sisosig.info tracks bridge delays in real time if you want to check before you go this summer. Free, no ads, just data.
Getting On Cape took the hit in the morning — delays started around 6:30am, peaked around ~25 minute delay from 8AM to 9:30AM and tapered off by noon.
Getting Off Cape got it in the afternoon — delays built from 2:30PM and peaked at ~25 minute delay around 4PM then tapered off quickly.
The Bourne Bridge has ongoing maintenance expected to continue through May 20th. Plan ahead and consider the Sagamore as an alternate route. You can track real-time Bourne and Sagamore bridge delays at sisosig.info. Stay safe and pack your patience!
