Decision Decision

APPRECIATE THE HELL out of everyone's feed back! this will be a long one so bare with me. im the only ISS when we usually have 2. my partner up and passed away couple months ago. Loved the guy, hated his work ethic. the stole was the only place u found him. Only thing he done was answer calls and bill onlines. that was it. So what im doing now is nothing new. just taking all the calls now. Just commercial we do on average $340,000 a month. we are a over 5 million store and we own the market here. 6 drivers while all our comp has 2 but run 1 daily. I get here at 7am have to move all freight so my drivers can get out door safely. check in all add-ons, get all deliveries ready. my partner use to clock in and est breakfast while I done it. but ISS's know there is way more to do than help customers. Drivers safety now, all vehicle maintenance, keeping up with drivers time, taking care of labor claims, getting claim payments to customers, weekly statements, keeping OSP in stock for big accounts, tho we arent suppose to. but its mainly all the other crap I have to deal with. NOBODY is trained anymore. they are showed how to look stuff up and let go. we have assistant managers that try to bill stuff cash to be delivered the next day and dont understand why u cant do that! There is nothing but laziness. U cant find parts where they should be and not even close. All my drivers are older men who cant see and have to be told every move to make. I have to literally check everything pulled bc of wrong parts being pulled and not the right quality. but when u have retail coming back looking for parts and asking if I seen em bc i check in ALL hub and DC runs too. but when I ask where it coming from and when was ordered, They dont know. even ones who have been here for years! u can tell em till ur blue n the face! look at when it was ordered and where from AND the system tells ya when it should be here. merchandiser doing same job for 2 years. done same thing 100 times but cant remember or dont want to remember how to do anything!.. Not 1 thing gets restocked in our store from overstock. only time it gets put up is when it comes n on truck! I had retail tell customers if its not on the shelf then we dont have it. Then ill butt in and look in the system and we have plenty! or customer walks in, "where ur wipers?".. Aisle 4. Won't get out from behind the counter for nothing!... it boils down that im tired of babysitting, cleaning up after everyone bc the brake lathe and hydraulic is n the back with me and I have to keep it clean or my drivers will break a hip! I just remember enjoying my job and like coming to work but when the head of the store is gone over 2 hours a day and cries bc we need help and also vanishes n the office as soon as another member comes in. doesnt help with freight either! and yea ive went up the chain many times.

Been with company for over 9 years. Been an ISS for 8 years. Started part time and busted my a$$ and studied vehicles to learn more bc when i started i only knew very few basics! BUT im Thinking about leaving and going to run a shop! They been begging me tooI just dont think i can handle it anymore. Its not the customers. Its in house. Laziness is the main key. It bleeds into every aspect of the store operations. Its got me cussed out by customers even tho it wasnt me that done it, and i just dont know how we still doing the volume we do. we are a high volume store with commercial dept about 70% off numbers. But does anyone got any advise? anyone been in my situation? I know for a FACT if i continue and it stays like it is, i WILL end up having a stroke or heart attack! There is no question about that.
