You might be wondering how I ended up diving with shark for NASA:

SO HOW DOES ONE EXACTLY END UP DIVING WITH SHARKS FOR NASA?

So, I had just arrive on front street in Lahaina Maui. The supposed land of milk and honey after a too long stint in Pahoa FBI. (ifykyk) I was so sick of driving the saddle to a shitty job and me and my Cohort left Arcoboleno in the BI and left for Lahaina.

I was a PADI Instructor and had gotten my Divemaster's in Koh Tao, and had long diversified career in diving and salvage in Thailand. I owned and operated Koh Tao Dive Industries which went bankrupt in the Asian Tsunami.

I had a brief stint in San Diego But hated it. Too damn cold. I then went tot he Big Island and had a LOT OF FUN here in Pahoa (go Daggers!) Buit it was always raining, not to much diving and my buddy and I decided we were gonna make the move to the other island.

We arrived and he and I only had a jeep (painted like tony the tiger, everyone in lahina knew us. think cj5 bright orange with tiger stripes. We rented a flat in Lahaina and no bedding just raw tile floors.

I woke up the next day and started looking for work. I had a PADI Instructor cert and I Figured by the time I started at the North end of Lahaina (by the jesus saves church) and work my way south Id get a job.

The first place I went was Dive Maui, (Hawaiian rafting adventures) Janet was at the counter and told me in no uncertain terms "you sure you want to work here?" Like the idiot I am I said yes.

The job was amazing. I got to work with Nick, Janet and Heath, and of course the Growlie Howlie. The growlie ha'aole was a small potbellied man that somewhat reminded me of Yurtle the turtle. For those that knew him I hope ya'll can tell ME stories. But he was called growlie howlie cause he was a white guy in Hawaii and known for his distemper, so much so there are stories of him laying people out in a parking lot hence the name.

But my days were spent diving Cathedrals I and II and then drinking at mooses on front street. ONE of the Extra curricular activities that the dive shop did for extra cash was the MOBY BOUY cleaning Contract. https://mlml.sjsu.edu/moby/ The bouy is in the open waters of the Pacific ocean. The BOUY has lenses that are used to measure benthic levels and those lenses have to be cleaned every 30-60 days weather permitting. So One diver has to wrangle the lenses and the other 2 divers have to fend of oceanic white tips. I was one of the poor souls that had to literally fight of SHARKS FOR NASA.

Not gonna lie, helps me with getting jobs. "tell me a time where you felt scared or pressured at work" : Well let me tell you about fighting sharks for NASA.

Anyways The pay was shit, but the times I had on that magical island before Lahaina burned down were absolutely Magical. I miss Mooses. I miss the Fuzzbox. I miss the Sly Mongoose. I miss those days and those people. I cant get it back. Its gone. The whole town is gone and Ill never go back cause I don't want to know the NEW front street.

They dont make people like this any more and I miss them dearly. Sometimes SCUBA is magical. Its a faether int he cap of life and I have that in spades. I miss yall and yall know who that is.

Nope.

I complained TWICE about the cap not being set and Open Ai didn't refund me. They banned me instead. I appealed, and then they resurrected my account as free and not paid and the API keys I had were all gone and burned, along with all the Ai pipelines to GPT mini, all the API keys for data sifting etc. Took all day to recover.

I was so mad I deleted my account and decided to run local and not look back. Sure qwen is a little slow but hey I dont have to worry about waking up to my MAC telling me I have a 245$ Ai Bill cause the cap Open Ai has is not really a Cap and the LLM decided to go on a loop spree in the middle of the night.

So a Day later I get this email and my account has been again resurrected, only for them to allow the promo, and get my business back.

Logged back in and deleted account again. I loved GPT\codex as a harness for Hermes, but these shady asf grifting BS is enough. Felt so good to say goodbye to Scam Altman.

Do it. It felt GREAT.

Open Ai Banned then reset account without resetting tokens? Options?

Hello I was banned, Then I appealed and got the account back but they did not reset the 100$ usage I paid and I still had 22 days left. They basically stole form me and I am was going to appeal again, but I am over it and cancelled. Open Ai will never get another penny from me, I can run my own models at home thank you very much.

Not really any need for help, just wanted to come here, say I hate Open Ai and Scam Altman, and they are dead to me forever.

I wont do deepseek, cause I wont support Chinese models, Claude wont run a harness, and I am looking for what's the latest greatest LLM ya'll are running? Mac Studio 64 GB s my goin to town rig.

This is a channel I watch every morning and afternoon and he was a huge following, bought in to KEEL recently. He has a lot of great guests and is a great retail youtuber. Regardless of KEEL purchase, give him some love.

EDIT: Also want to mention Amit was in PLTR in the 7$ range. He is instrumental in the PLTR retail trade and success and has had interviews with Alex Karp, Dan Ives, Anthony Noto, like I said a lot of great guests.

I cant put Open Ai in production - Here's why you shouldn't either.

Ok I run a a few SaaS platforms and My GPT Mini 40 (or whatever its called) ran over and the cap was set at a certain limit.

Well the Ai ran past the cap and didn't stop. I ended up with a huge bill and when I reached out to support they said buried in their support docs its clearly stated.

You cant search for it but if you go here: https://help.openai.com/en/collections/3943089-account-login-and-billing

then scroll 2/3 down page and open Delayed billing and then again scroll to bottom of the page:

Due to the complexity of our billing and processing systems, there may be delays in our ability to cut off access after you consume all of your credits. This excess usage may appear as a negative credit balance in your billing dashboard, and will be deducted from your next credit purchase.

So I cant really tell Open Ai to turn off services at a certain point to avoid bills cause then the SaaS platform wont work if/when the credits just stop and Open Ai states perfectly clear their cap doesn't work. (hidden, buried, but still in plain English in thier docs)

So how the f do you run this in production at all? What can I use instead of GPT mini 40 for light Ai work?

I'm getting so tired of seeing the wrong headlines. from both sides that are both wrong, so Ill explain it in one paragraph:

US has Plenty Of Oil:

The oil doesn't belong to the US government. It belongs to private companies and that oil goes to the highest bidder. So in a basic way to explain this narrative is yes that oil is in Texas but the price is going to be 120$ a barrel because the top bidder was a European or Asian country desperate for oil because Hormuz is cut off. So yeah the US has a lot of oil, to sell. to the highest bidder.

Th US Imports most of its OIL:

The issue here is that tits again NOT THE US OIL! The oil that comes in to the US is heavy crude, which is mixed with our light sweet crude from Texas (Permian basin) and its due to how gas and other refined products are created. The US blends it oil with heavier oil to create petroleum products. Most refineries blend Light sweet crude and heavy sour. So the Ne import/export is negligible.

The issue isn't shortage for the US, its that the oil on our shores is worth more to the world and the prices will go up (probably) Why sell domestically for 80$ when you can load it on a tanker for 120$ a barrrel.
