Odenza Cruise Certificate Refundable?
I paid Hilton Grand Vacations $199 last March for a promotional vacation package that I acquiesced to only after they threw in a 4-night cruise certificate for a future additional $199. When I revised my reservation in April, they made me pay the $199 for the cruise certificate, which I was to receive only after attending the show-and-tell during my HGV "vacation". I attended the HGV sales presentation last Tuesday and received my certificate as promised. The cruise is through the Odenza Marketing Group, and I now understand that HGV often gives these out as promotions. The problem with the cruise is the fine print. Without going into details, it is, for me, a horrible value, and I want to get my $199 back. My ability to do so may be contingent on whether the $199 I paid in April stayed with HGV or was forwarded to Odenza. According to the Odenza certificate, I "may cancel this contract without penalty or obligation within 30 days from the date of purchase or receipt of the vacation certificate, whichever occurs later." I am easily within the 30-day window from receipt of the certificate. Does anyone know if my $199 is refundable from Odenza?
