How crazy is it to buy a used Escape PHEV?

Coming from the Chevy camp. Drove Volts for a decade (Gen1 and Gen2). Love PHEVs, but can’t afford a RAV 4 PHEV. don’t know anything about modern Fords (last ford I touched was a 2013 C-Max Energi)

I found a 2023 Escape PHEV base (no leather)., for cheap. It has a crazy amount of miles (110k). It is waiting on the battery recall fix, but does not appear to be waiting on anything else (according to the VIN lookup)

(1) how reliable are these things, excluding the battery recall? Is it crazy to try to daily drive one?

(2) what’s the parts situation? with the Escape being cancelled, are any parts of this drivetrain still in production on other vehicles? (Maverick?) is it still feasible to get them repaired?

(3) anything someone should know or check, before picking one of these up?

Encore GX AWD vs Bronco Sport

I know, I know, "buy a Toyota, buy a Honda, buy a Mazda, buy a Subaru". Their budget is $15k, they can't afford anything decent there.

So, assume for really good reasons, mostly related to budget, a person could only pick between an Encore GX (2024 Sport Touring AWD) vs a Bronco Sport (2022 Outer Banks), in the 50k to 75k mileage range, which one is the better pick?

Assuming they care about (1) reliability, (2) quiet-ish interior, (3) performance

They both have AWD, and both seem to have the same rough creature comforts (both have leather seats, both have heated seats, both have heated steering, both have okay-ish carplay).

I'm leaning towards recommending the Bronco Sport, but for no reason other than higher ride height and 1.5L Turbo'd 3cyl (vs Encore's 1.3L Turbo'd 3cyl).

I have only a little bit of experience with Chevy gas cars, and no direct experience with any recent Fords, so wanted to see what folks who have experience with them thought.
