what is EV training and how do you get a good competitive team vs story team? with pokemon egg too?

i’ve been playing pokemon forever and gen 4 is my favorite by far and i’m really interested in doing the battle frontier like all the way and getting all the stars but i understand there’s a ton of work that goes into actually fielding a good team.

i am someone that uses the first pokemon they catch, but i recently saw someone post here about their togekiss but how would you even change the nature seeing as you only get one egg? am i missing something? + what goes into “EV” training and all that stuff? i understand i could search all of this up but i have about a dozen or more questions that i don’t even know how to phrase so i thought id start here, thanks!

spurs youth is phenomenal regardless of result

castle, harper, wemby, champagnie, bryant all played valuable and meaningful minutes in the NBA finals. as a neutral i would be very proud of your youth. just my two cents

Yaxel or Labaron Philon?

I just don’t see why we would take Yax over Philon? This team is in desperate need of young, cheap talent and self creation. In order to maximize the Steph years we need to rejuvenate the team with young energy. Bruh Yax is gonna be 30 sum by the time steph retires. I’m good off that, but wanted to hear your guys opinions
