I haven't been able to play Far Cry 3 for almost a year now...

Something is constantly going wrong with this game. Seriously, it's ridiculous.

I got the First Blood achievement during my very first launch. After that, the game started constantly crashing or lagging. It was actually freezing even during the first launch, but I thought it would go away somehow. Nope. Even putting everything on the lowest graphics settings didn't help

Eventually I just gave up on it. Most of the crashes seemed to be related to the Ubisoft Connect window. It would literally appear for a second and then the game would just crash

I've tried pretty much every fix I could find for this game, including performance tweaks

I've tried all kinds of things with Ubisoft Connect, including editing settings.yaml. I don't even remember everything I changed in there anymore, but I definitely tried forcing offline mode and a few other things

I also tried LAA_2_0_4, GamerProfile.xml, changing compatibility settings for the game files, running them as administrator, testing DX9, limiting the number of CPU cores the game can use... basically everything I could think of

Nothing helped

The game just freezes, lags like crazy, and eventually crashes

My PC is
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
RTX 4060
16 GB RAM

And yeah, the game doesn't work properly in any offline mode either. Even with Steam in Offline Mode, I still get the same crashes and freezes. At this point, I honestly have no idea what else to try(At this point, I'm honestly wondering if a version without Ubisoft Connect would work better)

P.S. Maybe I didn't try as hard as I could have to fix it, since I was doing all of this in bits and pieces over a long period of time. I just wanted to play the game, and I kept putting it off, waiting for the right time to properly try again. Honestly, I really don't feel like spending hours troubleshooting a game that should just work in the first place. I'm 100% sure I probably missed something or did something wrong, but I just wanted to play the game, not spend my time fixing something that should already work

I mean, it should work normally, right? I think it should

What browser should I try?

I've used Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and a few Chromium-based browsers. Never really tried zen, vivaldi, floorp, librewolf, or opera. I installed brave once, but deleted it almost immediately. The only opera I've actually used was opera mini on an old phone years ago.

What would you recommend?
