What would make you try a new multiplayer game from a small independent studio?

Perhaps this question is more for people playing multiplayer FPS games. With the gaming market being as chaotic as it is today with plenty of options popping up throughout the year, what are the factors that pique your curiosity to try out a new game that aren't from a well established/well funded game studio?

What can smaller indie devs do in the multiplayer space that is being ignored by bigger studios?

SUPER SCORE is looking for playtesters to join in this weekend.

Super Score is a 3v3 multiplayer fps game where kills don't win matches, players score by reaching the enemy base.

After a hard and long journey, the time has finally come to start gathering player feedback. So this weekend I will have the first playtest for the game and I'm looking for playtesters to join in.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4531430/SUPER_SCORE/

Here's more details about the playtest: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/4531430/view/671746315771712232?l=english

EDIT: First closed playtest is LIVE TONIGHT! Request approvals starts at 19:00 CEST. Sign up on Steam to join!

I'm making a 3v3 FPS where the best player isn't the one with the most kills. The first closed playtest starts this Friday!

Basically what the title says. Do you like the convenience of a matchmaking system that just gets you to a match (with or without any skill based matchmaking) or do you like browsing servers to join through a list?
