I just listened to the first part of the most recent PMW Q&A, and they allude to some conversations around 2003-2004 about continuing the show in some form, with the core four (I think) in New York. They mentioned it sort of off-handedly, but as a pretty devoted listener of the podcast, I was surprised, as I hadn't heard about this before.

Had anyone else heard this mentioned before last week?

edit: tbc, I've heard them mention a Season 8 several times, but that always sounded like they'd pick up the next year, just like it was a regular season. This was the first time I heard the idea that there would've been a few year gap, and then Michael Jacobs or whoever pitched this to them.
