Should I apply for I-765?

At this point, I am just wondering if I should file I-765, because of all these posts I see from people not getting any updates about I-765 for a long time.

Even though some get approved with congressional inquiry, but most are waiting for a long time with no updates.

I filed I-130,485 and 765 at the beginning. However, my 765 got rejected as my lawyer used an outdated form.

I am thinking of filing online again and attaching the green letter that USCIS gave me.

I need advice from you guys.

Confused about I-765

Hello everyone.

I filed my Adjustment of Status package with Forms I-130, I-485, and I-765 together. Today, I received receipt notices only for the I-130 and I-485. USCIS did not charge any fee for the I-765, and when I log into my USCIS online account, I can only see the I-130 and I-485. There is no sign of the I-765 anywhere. They also scheduled my biometrics.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it normal for the I-765 receipt notice to arrive later, or should I be concerned that USCIS may not have accepted or processed it? What would you recommend I do next?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding OPT and Adjustment of Status.

I am currently on F-1 status and have already filed my marriage-based I-485 (AOS). I recently received my OPT I-20, and my deadline to apply for OPT EAD is May 6.

My lawyer mentioned that applying for OPT after filing I-485 could create a conflict of intent (since F-1 requires nonimmigrant intent, but I-485 shows immigrant intent), and that it might potentially affect my case.

I wanted to ask:

* Has anyone here applied for OPT after filing I-485?

* Did it cause any issues with your green card process?

* Would you recommend applying for OPT as a backup, or just waiting for the AOS-based EAD?
