Career Advice Needed (Mechanical Engineer)

Hello everyone.

Making this post as a last resort. So a bit about me is that I graduated last year from GIKI as a Mechanical Engineer and am currently working in a remote role for a US based company. There's a multitude of reasons to quite this job, the biggest one being that it does not align with my future career goals. I want to pursue traditional engineering roles. Masters is a bit far for me due to financial constraints.

So, I am thinking about quitting this job because it is draining the life out of me. Not in a challenging or "too much work" way, more of a toxic and the role was not what it was advertised to be way. I need a bit of guidance if I should take the leap for my mental well-being or be realistic and work till I find a new job. The longer I stay, the less defendable it is on my CV as to why I did a non-mechanical job and now I want to return to the field. A major blocker is that I am unable to apply for jobs while working this one due to burn out.

Career Advice Needed - Mechanical Engineers

Hello everyone.

Making this post as a last resort. So a bit about me is that I graduated last year from GIKI as a Mechanical Engineer and am currently working in a remote role for a US based company. There's a multitude of reasons to quite this job, the biggest one being that it does not align with my future career goals. I want to pursue traditional engineering roles. Masters is a bit far for me due to financial constraints.

So, I have two asks, I am thinking about quitting this job because it is draining the life out of me. Not in a challenging or "too much work" way, more of a toxic and the role was not what it was advertised to be way. I need a bit of guidance if I should take the leap for my mental well-being or be realistic and work till I find a new job. A major blocker is that I am unable to apply for jobs while working this one due to burn out.

And secondly, I am being vague with information on purpose for general safety reasons:

Experience Summary:
Intern at an automotive engineering company. Currently working full time in a customer-facing data analysis role.

Full-time

Work Preference:

Thank you if you read through the whole thing and if you respond as well. Appreciate it.
