Due to a series of unfortunate events, I have been carrying my 1.6kg laptop with me on the Camino. It is slowing me down like crazy and making my life a misery in the heat. I’m also constantly scared about it being stolen or damaged. I need to send it off to Casa Ivar ASAP, but I also need to bubble wrap it for extra protection, and I can’t find any bubble wrap. I have tried two post offices and neither had bubble wrap. The workers couldn’t tell me where I could get bubble wrap either.

Please please please, if anyone knows any guaranteed places to buy bubble wrap on this part of the Francés, let me know. I need this laptop off my back.

I am in SJPdP right now waiting to start my Camino. I brought my laptop with me, planning to ship it ahead to Santiago, as I will be continuing my travels after the Camino. I thought this would be easy based on what I read online but it’s proving difficult. The woman in the post office in SJPdP kept saying something about “a man” and “airport” and “machine”, which I couldn’t understand, but she said she didn’t know how to say it in English. I don’t know what she means and I’m scared she is saying something might go wrong with my laptop. I asked the ladies at the pilgrim’s office and they weren’t sure what she meant either.

I’m stressing out very badly. What do I do?? Do I ship my laptop to Santiago from here in France? Do I transfer my laptop ahead via luggage service for a few days, then ship it to Santiago once I reach Spain? I’m so confused and would really love some help please so I can start my walk.
