How close was I on the PE Structural

I took the PE Structural for the first time on Thursday. I studied mechanical engineering in college and got a job as a bridge designer out of school. I figured this test would be good to teach me some skills that I wasn't formerly educated on. I took the EET 24 week class and struggled in it. It felt like there wasn't enough time to get through everything in it while working full time and trying to have some sort of life. I think my biggest downfall was pushing hard to watch the video and not doing enough practice problems. Plus I spent the last 2 weeks on prestressed concrete problems and got 0 questions on that topic.

If I had to guess I'm sitting around 50%? And I need between 60 and 70 to pass. So that's like 15 questions to get a 70? Can someone confirm or correct my math there?

I don't have the reference material for NDS and TMS. Does anyone have a source for those?

Thanks in advance!

Bridge Concrete Strengths

In my state we typically use 3000 psi concrete in abutments and piers where 4000 psi concrete in bridge deck and barriers.

Why do we use weaker concrete in the substructure? Is it because it works just fine and it's cheaper to use in that case.

GPU Upgrade

I have a 6900 XT that I bought back in 2022 and it's been a great card. Right now it is paired with a rise in 77800 x 3D 32 gigs of RAM and I'm using Linux mint as my operating system and I'm pretty happy with it. Maybe I'm just falling into the fear mongering of certain creators or media websites but I have $700 my birthday is coming up here in a couple of months and I'm wondering would it be a good idea to upgrade to something like a 7900 XTX or a 9070 XT. I live in the United States I can get a 7900 XT for $600 I can find a 7900 XTX between 800 and 1,000 and I wouldn't mind saving up for an XTX or a good 9070 of it made sense. I'm just not looking to make an impulse buy.

The reason I'm considering this is just looking at the market for computer components such as drives and RAM and Nvidia grouping GPU revenue with "other" because it's such a small portion of the revenue nowadays, hearing the top rich people of the world saying it is inefficient to have localized computing and they envision a world where big companies hold all the computing and rent it out to anyone who wants to use it. My thoughts are should I buy the best AMD graphics card that I can possibly get right now so that my computer lasts longer.

What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Headset

I'm looking to switch to Linux on my desktop. I've been running Linux for a year on my framework 13 and I feel like I'm ready to ditch windows for gaming. Right now I have a razor black shark headset it requires a program to do anything. Honestly I'm not that impressed with this headset. Does anyone have recommendations for a wireless headset with an attached mic that just works on Linux without a program that connects with a USB dongle? Thanks in advance.
