1875 S above the bow

Hi everyone!

After finding a DDO in a silver quarter last week, I decided to go back through my purchases to see if i overlooked anything. I bought an 1875-S seated dime. S above the bow type. I saw what looked like a die crack in the lower right wreath. I went to variety vista and Wexlers's but neither listed any anomalies for this coin.

So I decided to Google 1875S die crack. It brought me to a website that had the top 25 seated Liberty Dime varieties. It looks to me like I have variety 105a. It shows the same exact die cracks, broken S & O. Ive been very lucky lately.

How is it possible to get a valuation for this type of special coin? And lord knows if chat gpt is providing accurate amounts. Does NGC or PCGS provide values? Im pretty sure greysheet does not.

Thankd

1946-D Quarter DDO-001?

Hi gang!

While looking at my recent purchases I noticed the mint mark had some doubling. Normally I write these off as machine doubling (because that seems to be my outcome). But after looking at variety vista, I might have come across a specimen of DDO-001.

Wanted to get some confirmation here if possible. You can see some doubling on liberty and the mint mark.

Let me know what u think. :)

First Shipwreck silver!

I have been very lucky lately. I was able to come across a shipwreck piece. No certificate but it matches almost all the criteria! :)

Possible Rotation error?

Hi everyone

While checking some wheats I came across an uneven reverse. I just wanted to see if I measured it right.

First i did the obverse at a straight level. Then I used a flip and drew a line through the middle of the reverse. Based on the vague, my reverse is at 155. Did I calculate this property? I come up with a 25 degree error.

Agreed?

Hi everyone!

So a few weeks back I bought one of those rose gold pennies. They list between $10 & $15 online.

Is it just me, or does my rose gold penny have e a strike through grease on the 4? Just wanted to see if anyone agreed with me. I took 2 pics at different angles.

I know this is a common error on steel 1943's but this one seems ever rarer.. if not, its still a cool coin to keep :)

Happy hunting

Hi everyone!

I looked at some examples of strike through cloth on err-ref but there weren't that many examples.

since only 1 side of the coin has the weird pattern, I think this could be a perfect example of strike through cloth. And on top of that, it is a silver quarter.

I dont want to get my hopes up but I wanted to post the pictures here to get other people's thoughts.

Any help is appreciated :)
