Model Slicing & Positioning - Best Rule Of Thumb?

Model Slicing & Positioning - Best Rule Of Thumb?

It seems like finding good information on settings and print quality is pretty easy but I've been struggling to understand rule of thumb or best practices for position and/or model slicing before the print. Most of the models I have been printing come with pre-support files for resin. I've been following those when positioning in BambuLabs assuming that the idea behind resin and FDM supports is the same. I haven't had terrible luck but I wouldn't be surprised to hear its not best practice. I have not tried slicing a model into multiple pieces yet but saw it recommended on another model today.

Any advice you can give a newbie or maybe some good sources of information that I can check out?

Footloose! Why is it kicking off my Sunday shoes?

Hey everyone! I've had this happen a few times now and am not sure what causes it. I'm assuming it's the orientation of the print but I'm not 100% sure. Any ideas on how to fix?

The piece to the side is the models foot and you can see where it was knocked loose from the base print.

I'm using ObsNox 2.0 setting from the sticky and have the bodies angled about 25° backwards to help with the layer lines.

I've dried my filaments and my humidity level is about 17%. Printing with a P2S.

Suggestions On Printing Terrain Trees?

Hey yall, does anyone have any advise on printing terrain trees? I bought a pack that has them cut into sections and also whole. I've printed both versions now and the tree supports are incredibly difficult to remove.

I've also tried printing them on an angle to help improve the quality but dang I'm using the same amount of material for the supports as I am the model. Plus they are a pain to remove.
