Is a temporary stay in a smoker's home going to harm my dog?

Hi everyone! My mother is a smoker who smokes inside. I'm planning on staying with her for two days and it would be nice to take my dog. She also has a dog and mine is quite anxious, so it would be a good experience for him. My worry is, he's a small 6.5kg dog in a pretty heavily smoked in home. I can ask her not to smoke indoors while we're there, but will just bringing him into the house for 48-72 hours be damaging to his health?

Thank you 🙏

Innioasis Y1 won't power on after Rockbox install

Hi all! Installed Rockbox-Y1 v0.4 240p resolution via the innioasis updater. Followed all instructions and a guide posted on this sub. Tried Type A first, when done the device wouldn't power on. I returned to the original software and it works perfectly fine. I tried Type B then, which resulted in the same issue: my device won't switch on. What can I do?

How to make APMs more comfortable?

hi everyone!

I just got airpods max (1) and I absolutely love the transparency mode and sound quality. However, they're a bit too heavy and slightly too large for my head. Does anyone know of a way to make them tighter and a bit more comfortable?

I also got the bose quietcomfort gen 2, to compare sound quality and comfort. I love the comfort of the bose QC2 and the sound quality is, while not as good as APM, still really good. However, the transparency mode is very underwhelming, the controls are annoying and they don't connect as smoothly to my devices as APM. Basically, they win in the area of comfort (by quite a bit).

I really want to be able to keep the APMs and send back the Bose, but I'm worried they will always be a bit uncomfortable. I can easily forget I'm wearing the Bose, not the case with APMs. They also begin to slide off my head if I lean forwards, because of how heavy they are.

TLDR: APMs are great but too big and not super comfortable. Any tips? TYSM in advance

KOreader error with Readest plugin help!

Hi!

Totally new to this and trying to get readest on my koreader for syncing. Help me out! I'm following a tutorial, but when I add the 'readest.koreader' folder to my plugins folder of the koreader app on my kobo, I get an error when starting up koreader on my kobo. I've tried adding, rebooting, then starting up, just adding it and starting it up... no difference.

If someone can let me know why this is happening, that would be great!

Hi everyone! I recently discovered this community and wondered if you'd be able to help give me some tips on the set up I'm looking for!

I'm about to buy a kobo Clara colour in the next couple of days to read sideloaded books on. I want to use KOReader as Kobo's own UI bugs with highlights on sideloaded books and I want something that can sync my reading progress and my highlights across devices.

I'll have my library in calibre on my pc, which any new books will be added to. I believe there's a KOreader plugin to sync with calibre? What would be fantastic is if I can read on my kobo and then pick up where I left off via my phone, like you would if you'd be using the kindle app for example across devices. My phone is an iPhone so I'd use Readest. What's the best way to get my kobo and readest to sync up progress and highlights automatically? And what's the best way to back up my highlights to calibre?

I'm all very new to this but I want control over my reading, highlights and my library, so this is definitely the way to go. I already was using the kobo app on mobile and it deleted all my annotations out of nowhere because the book was sideloaded, so that made me realise I needed something more reliable!

On another note, any tips to make the UI look more like kobo's native UI would be fab!

▲ 2 r/kobo

I have a few sideloaded epubs that I'm reading in the kobo app on my iphone. I'm using this to test out the app as I'm interested in getting a kobo clara colour soon. Today I realised all my highlights were gone, though still were visible in the annotations tab. The book just didn't have any of the highlighted text. I read that if I logged out and logged in, the account would be forced to re-sync, but when doing this, the book has disappeared completely. Does this mean all my highlights are gone forever, or can I somehow retrieve the data?
