I’ve recently bought AirPod max 2, and my experiences were mediocre.

I own a pair of Sony whxm4, for me these sound very similar to the AirPods, but some how the AirPods offer less bass and slightly less mids clarity.

The weight, AirPod max 2 are heavy sure, but after a couple of minutes you forget about it. But when you put on a lighter pair of headphones you notice it quite significantly.

ANC, in my experiences the xm4s offers slightly better ANC than the AirPods, especially with the higher frequencies like people communicating the AirPods are definitely worse than the xm4s. AirPod maxs are only better with the deep end, so in some peoples use cases this could be better.

Overall, AirPod max 2 is not worth the money. My Sonys picked them up for 250 cad while the AirPods are 779.

So basically I’m on the fence about switching everything I use (except my gaming PC, of course) over to Apple. Currently I own a Samsung S24 Ultra, a Samsung tablet, a Samsung Watch, and Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones, plus a budget Windows laptop that died after I dropped it. The reason I’m thinking of switching is that it feels like time to try something new and I haven’t used Apple since the iPhone 4, and next year I’m moving from Denmark to Canada to work as a ski instructor, so I want a good laptop to bring with me, ideally a MacBook. When I get back home I’ll most likely go to university for software engineering, and I want to use that same laptop there too. I really like my S24 Ultra, but I also just want to have everything in one ecosystem and give Apple another shot. Right now I have the chance to get an iPhone 18 Pro Max and AirPods Max 2 for a total of $1,500 USD (with trade-in), which is a fair price here in Denmark. The MacBook will come later, once the M6 models launch next year, timed with my trip and then uni. Would love to hear from people who’ve made a similar switch, is it worth going all in on Apple, any regrets leaving a long time Samsung setup, and does it make sense to buy the phone now and the laptop next year, or should I just wait and get everything together? And lastly and maybe most importantly, how much of an upgrade would the Airpods Max 2 be over my Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II?

I've been a longtime user of the XM4s and loved them. Although I'm not particularly an audiophile, I appreciate the sound signature. Being an Apple user, I've had AirPods Pro 2s for a while, but the ANC pressure became too much for me and I ended up just leaving them on transparency. Given my experience with Sony, I went straight for the XM6 and have been enjoying them so far but I've been wondering whether the AirPods Max 2 would have been the better pick. I tried them briefly in the store and thought the weight was well distributed, but I don't know if the weight and poor portability are worth the apparently better sound and Apple ecosystem integration. I do prefer to use my headphones with glasses on and don’t care too much about Spatial Audio.

So here’s the thing, recently bought my first maxes 🎧 APM2
I bought them in USA as I’m currently visiting
But may leave to India soon
I have less than 1 month left to decide if I wanna get Applecare+ via bestbuy or apple itself…
Thing is idk if if should get applecare+ here in the USA - bestbuy said it works internationally as well
Anyone has experience with a situation like this?
As by the time I go there im not sure if apple care i can buy there or maybe if i select the applecare via my iphone settings then itll charge my account normally like in india
so if im majorly living there i dont wanna lose out on its perks

So

1. is it necessary if i use them less and carefully
2. if i do get applecare should i get it in USA or India for 2 years

Every 1,2,3,4 years?

When is the next most likely update, do you think?
So that I now if I buy them now or if I wait a little.

I'm not in a hurry so I can wait a few months. I just won't wait for years.
