Title speaks for itself. This is clearly a defect on Apple’s behalf and I strongly believe they need to issue a repair programme. The more it’s talked about the harder it is to ignore.
I paid £50 each for these headphones, cables cost £11 for a set from AliExpress, so a nice profit once sold. I suppose some can gain from this
More often than not, this little cable that allows both the cups to communicate when connected to the headband will render these $550 useless!
Apple will charge you $300+ out of warranty. This cable will cost you $60 for an original flex.
Keep your headphones unfolded and throw away the smart killing case!
Symptoms of this cable going bad usually start with them not connecting and then working after a reset. Then slowly having to reset them more and more often until you get the 3 orange lights blink.
Recently repaired a camera on a device owned by our organisation and received an error during repair assistant along the lines of "Unable to complete this repair as the device is owned by apple or an apple partner" I'd personally never seen this message before
Anyways, the only fix was to un-assign the enrollment profile VIA Apple Business Manager and then run repair assistant again.
Just a PSA for anyone as I couldn't find the fix online anywhere
apple magic keyboard, and it has gone all puffy and blown on one side
