Chelsea and Germany Women’s National Team midfielder Sjoeke Nüsken will captain Germany tonight for the very first time. The 25 year old receives the armband tonight due to the absences of Giulia Gwinn (Shoulder Surgery) and Janina Minge (One Game Suspension for a Red Card against Austria last match-day). Nüsken has been part of the leadership group since last summer by being appointed as a vice captain after Gwinn’s MCL injury at the Euros last summer. Nüsken has worn the armband before, but only because of Gwinn and Minge being substituted off. Congratulations Sjoeke!!
