looking for a career change. Is it an online course sufficient for getting a job?

Hello guys, the internet knows I'm trying to change careers, and among the various things it pushes me there are some cybersecurity courses. Not degrees, courses. I don't know how to call them technically, but you pay a lot of money, like thousands of euros, for a 3 months course on Cybersecurity. It prepares you for CISCO certifications for example.

Now, I have a degree in an unrelated field. I'm 34 years old and no job experience in the IT field. I would only have this type of course in my CV. Is it possible to obtain a good job, fully remote even, by starting not with a degree, but with a course?

I make just 20000 euros annually (gross) in italy by working 40 hours per week. Anything better than that would be good. I just don't want to pay 3000 euros for a course and a certification and not get hired because companies prefer people with an actual IT multi-year degree (justifiably)

thanks for your inputs and help

do you ever go out alone as a male with the purpose of meeting girls?

I'm trying to learn cold approach. Or rather, start learning about it. So damn hard to just go there and speak to a stranger.

But the point is: how do you deal with going out alone and meeting people you already know? How do you deal with that?

You lie and just say "just having a walk"? It's kinda weird around here to hang out alone, people usually go out with friends.

If I meet people I know, they might offer to hang out with them if I say that, and if I accept, it feels awkward, like I was desperately going around looking for someone.

I don't really know how to feel about this stuff. I have been going out alone in the past weeks, and I kinda lied saying I was going somewhere when meeting people I already know in order not to say the truth, but I hate lying.

what is a good amount of persistence in a social circle situation?

EDIT: I'm 34M and she is 27F There is this girl I like from a specific social circle I go to sometimes. it's been months now, but I saw her basically like 4-5 times, because otherwise I don't have another way of meeting her. For the summer, the club I was seeing her at closed, so I had kinda forgot about her, BUT SURPRISE, a couple of friends of mine organized an outing where she was also present, and I got to know her better. From this outing, from her demeanor and from things my friends said to me in private I know that she's kinda on the fence about me. Basically this one male friend asked her about me when I was not present and she said more or less "yeah he is handsome but the fact that he is the ex boyfriend of girl X makes me uncomfortable" (girl X is another girl of the group). Now, this girl was my gf literally seven years ago, no one cares, not me, not X (we are friends now), and they told her so.

So yeah. I still asked her out because I believe I can attract her, but she said she was busy WITHOUT PROPOSING AN ALTERNATIVE DAY, she thanked me for the invitation and even continued the convo with a bit of jokes, she was not cut and dry. She even immediately liked my IG story today, too.

I'm saddened by the fact she didn't propose some other day. She's pretty so there is probably another guy (or guys) in the picture hitting on her. Of course it's a soft rejection and I can leave it at that, in a few days I'll be ok. But I hear a lot of persistence "success stories". that persistence can be important when did properly. What could be a good way of trying again, if possible? Don't even know if I'll see her again in weeks. Striking up a conversation through instagram stories in a few days and propose another walk/coffee/drink? Mind you the first time I asked her was through IG dms all the same.

Let's see:

- I used two basement keys to open the two basement doors.

- I can't reach the boat because the pump room doesn't have enough space to let me empty both the fountain and the reservoir

- I solved the tomb puzzle and went below, only to find a dead end with a cart I can only push back and forward but can't go over

- I unlocked the cliff after finding 4 gas outlets but there is another chessboard puzzle I can't find other clues for. Yeah the rooms are filled with chess pieces but the relation with that chessboard puzzle is completely lost to me.

- I know I can craft a contraption to light toches, and another to bring down walls. I used the first for a dark cave in the Grounds and the upgrade hammer to destroy the secret garden wall. I think I can destroy another wall in the basement under the Foundation

- There is some insane amount of misteries all around me, apparently it's not earth but some fantasy world, and some political cospiracy that's currently going over my head but my focus now is getting to room 46. Also the runes? some ancient words I can translate? wtf

- I also have the classroom puzzle on going, but it's tedious: I have to roll a classroom in the outer room and then keep rolling classrooms in the house

- The office safe is still there and I didn't find any clues about it, not considering the red card with a lie on it found in the conference room.

I jotted all this from the top of my head. I think I have to follow the reservoir lead because it seems the "end game".

But the only thing I can think of to progress is to craft the upgraded hammer to destroy the wall in the basement? It's the only thing I can think of, but I don't remember what I used for that, and it seems like it was some insane RNG. Do I really have to keep rolling rooms until I get:

  1. pool and pump room to fix the fountain (it's currently flooded because I tried to drain the reservoir a bit but blocked the fountain in the process)
  2. hammer, battery packet and another tool I don't remember
  3. workshop

to be able to progress?

I'm on day 49. I did some throwaway runs to experiment (like trying to thaw the ice with the furnace and trying to get as many classrooms as possible), but how do people reach the end in 30 days? If I really have to craft the hammer again, many days will go down just for that I think.

I'm asking for hints/pointers I guess. I'm feeling kinda stumped, frustratingly so because I was following so many leads and having fun only to find myself blocked on all of them : D
