Conversations have really been low on this sub lately.
I saw a lot of to and fro on social media where women especially from Rajasthan are bashing other women along the lines of "kapde chote ho gaye, soch choti ho gayi" and I think this is absolute bs. I have seen women absolutely dragging other women down just because they aren't sanskari enough with their clothing choices, let's not even get to men especially uncles age people entitled enough to have an opinion on women sitting in shorts and baniyan all day.
I wear saree at my workplace sometimes and I have seen my colleagues (females, under 25) displaying partial favouritism to the "western formal" wearing women which are labelled forward thinking. Including one of my seniors in management who made me realise the reason for this favouritism.
Today I had some relatives over who justified domestic abuse, unfaithful partners, drug abuse in society but the bottomline of it all was - aurat ke sindoor ki shakti. I tried to reason a bit and it made my mum upset.
I have faced weird judgements on my clothing from both ends of society. And I think judgmental people are both ways. It is not cool to say - oh crop top wearing girls are loose character. But if you're calling a saree clad woman a behenji you aren't any good either.

Garmi ki raatein, paani chidakne se mitti si mehekti hui chatt, chand aur dheeme swar mein bajta ye geet......
We live in the same city, work in different companies. It has been almost 5 months since we met, had a chat, laughed our asses off and almost got kicked out of the cafe. And I realised I am getting old. Such moments are becoming more and more far fetched and months have turned to years in between meeting friends to live and laugh freely. Responsibilities and obligations take over so much time and energy from our lives.
Jeene ke liye samay kamm padne laga hai aajkal 😐
