Cryptophyllium Limogesi and Heteropteryx dilitata
Hi everyone, I just bought a pair (M&F) of leaf insects (Cryptophyllium limogesi) and a pair (M&F) of Jungle Nymphs (Heteropteryx dilatata) at an insect expo.
The seller told me that these two species can safely live together in one terrarium as long as it’s big enough (they suggested a 50x60cm enclosure). However, I used AI for some care advice, and it strongly advised against it. It warned me that the H. dilatata might mistake the leaf insects for food, and that the massive size difference and different terrarium requirements could be dangerous for the Limogesi. I tried to google it but I can’t really find anything useful.
What do you guys think? Does anyone have experience keeping these two species together, or should I definitely get a second terrarium? Any advice is welcome!
