thank you fb marketplace

Curious if anyone else has had major luck scoring card making supplies on fb marketplace? I got an ad last night for essentially a craft supply mega sale about an hour and 45 minutes away. took my chances and went this morning and my gosh!! Almost everything was new, and top brands like spellbinders waffle flower altenew pink & main etc etc. spent an hour and a half going through everything and only spent $58. They gave me a ziplock bag and said fill this bag up with as many Jolee stickers you can fit for $5..what a steal!! I asked the lady if they host a craft sale annually and she said it was supposed to be a one time thing but I guess they have a friend with a shopping addiction/hoarding problem so they were trying to sell all her inventory and this was their 4th sale. I couldn’t believe someone would have that much stuff but I was also very happy to take some off her hands at such a bargain lol.

Tea pot cards

Bought this tea pot die set from tall mouse at scrapbook expo earlier this year and recently got the pink and main tea sentiment stamp set. I’m pretty pleased with how these turned out, cause I was a little stumped as to how to style them at first.

How would you do it?

So I bought this design, traced the pattern, but I’m stuck on how to execute the French knots for the million little balloons- do I do one color and skip around the balloon or have multiple needles threaded with different colors so I can easily pick up and go? My worry is if I skip around, the back is gonna get crazyy and it’ll be harder to go up the fabric with all the excess thread 🪡 thank you!

Card making thrift haul

Thought I’d share my card making supply thrift haul! 2 Hero Arts Christmas stamp sets, anti-static powder for embossing (bought for .75!) some sizzix dies, star embossing folder, and misc clear stamps! I’d love to know if you’ve thrifted any card making goodies as of late 😋

I’m in a pickle

I was accepted into FSCJ’s funeral services program. I also recently found out that I’m pregnant.(this is not my first baby, and this is not my first degree, I have experience being in college while being pregnant/newly postpartum.)

i’m due in February, and I was looking at the list of classes I’ll be taking then and I’m supposed to be taking embalming 1 with the correlating and embalming lab. How the heck am I going to do that pregnant? Do they give any leniency for that? That class is only offered in the spring time and FSCJ funeral program is very outlined and it doesn’t seem like there’s much wiggle room. So if I skipped the embalming class, I’ll have to wait until the next spring semester to take it and I don’t know if I can move onto the next classes without taking embalming one and if so, then that really puts me behind.

I have to submit my acceptance/denial by tonight so do I accept it and try and figure out a loophole or should I just cut my losses and wait to apply later? ** also, we’re a military family so we PCS August 2028 so I don’t have a lot of time to work with.*
