Ghosted by admissions

So, I submitted my application last year in march around the time Job Corps as an organization's continuation was in limbo with the Trump administration. However over the course of this last month I've been in touch with my admissions counselor. I had some trouble getting my transcripts from my old school (as I dropped out around 4 years ago) which resulted in some delay.

However that delay was for about a few days at most. After uploading and even emailing my counselor, I called and she let me know to call back the next day before 12pm. Unfortunately I've been calling and emailing for about a week now and its been radio silence.

When I call the center directly, they just put me over to the counselor's phone (that she never answers.) I don't want to go to another center, and I'm about to face a nasty homeless situation where I would be at the hands of my abuser. How can I get myself into Job Corps ASAP so I have a chance at a good future??

So I'm an 06, and this is my first year filing my taxes. I filed 02/07 and was accepted the same day. Since then it's been a strenuous and lengthy process just to even get my transcript let alone my refund (which I have yet to receive).

After verifying on 02/27, I still did not receive a transcript or any indication that my account was verified and the issue was resolved until I called the IRS on 03/13. In which the representative told me everything is going smoothly, and that my verification was processed on the 03/05. She mentioned I should be receiving my transcript soon but my refund at the latest would arrive may 7th.

I was satisfied with that clarity until an ENTIRE MONTH passed, and I still had no account updates! On 04/16 I received my first account transcript and this is what it looked like.

On the 04/20 I received a notice that the IRS will need an ADDITIONAL 60 DAYS on top of the 60 I have already waited.

I'm single, no children, no tips or other things to calculate, I've quadruple checked my e-file. There's no way I should need to wait 3+ months. Is any other new filer having these issues? Seasoned tax filers, anything I can do to expedite this process, and if not why do you all keep giving money to a company that makes you go through hell to get it back?
