I bought a replacement buckle for my 2005 forfour (part number A4548600269) but the buckle keeps triggering the seatbelt alarm. It doesn't stop unless I actually buckle the empty seat's belt.
Does anyone have ANY idea why this could be happening? Wrong part, something broken in my car, something else? Any help appreciated
My car has these massive holes in the fabric door trim and I'm looking for a relatively cheap, DIY way to cover them up with something.
2nd image is what I have in mind (just covering it with a big piece by maybe sewing it on or something) but I don't know if it's a good idea and how I should go about actually doing it.
Also, the end result doesn't have to be perfect as this car is 20+ years old and not worth that much.
Any advice appreciated!
My forfour 454 has a stray wire (second image) under the front passenger seat. It's apparently supposed to connect to the wire in the first image that comes from the seatbelt buckle but mine is completely missing...
Anyone know where I can get a replacement wire? Used OEM seatbelt buckles aren't apparently sold with the wire so I'm not sure what to do... Any help appreciated.
