Renting a car for a 5 day trip. Will I be okay driving…I’m just nervous to drive in MX!!

We are driving in Thursday afternoon so thinking about easing them into the experience by doing an "easy" hike. Should we do the Canyon Overlook trail or the Watchman trail?

Meaning… is there hiking trails ? Should I give myself ample time to explore around the summit or should I just drive straight to the summit in the afternoon for sunset? Do I need to arrive early to get a spot at the summit like a Haleakala ?

Very excited to visit for the first time! Staying in Hilo but exploring Kona as well. Planning on seeing the volcano, snorkeling and visiting a botanical garden. Any other must do’s ?

Knew it was coming but still sad. Makes me feel like all the work I put in with the kids and the relationships I built with the kids doesn’t matter :(

Ultimately the process makes me more sad than anything. Not working with my partner teacher anymore, having to pack up alllll my stuff and having to show up everyday until the 10th :/ Bummer.

Planning on visiting the Big island in the last week of June. Hoping to catch the eruption at the National Park. Staying in Hilo but planning to drive to various parts of the island and stay out there for the day then come back. Gonna split driving time with my friend.

What are some other things we should do ? What are the top 5 things to do on this island ? Best luau on the island ? Been to Maui and Oahu but still want to see some water falls, I wanna do some hiking, best places to watch the sunset, best food spots etc.

Planning to visit the big island the last week of June. For 7 days.

I wanna visit the national park so I’m thinking about landing in Hilo and knocking that out the first half of the trip.

Should I divide my time and spend time in various parts of the island? I wanna spend some time on the beach and hiking as well.
