massive flare up
i went to a very large event the other night as my boyfriend was getting an award for something and i wanted to be there for him. i lasted 30 mins and had to go outside and back up to our room where i proceeded to cry for 2 hours and have 2 or 3 panic attacks. this is the first time since december where my anxiety has gotten out of hand like this but that’s besides the point.
the event was on friday night and it’s now monday. usually i have symptoms every day but i can work my way around them and not put too much focus on them. as of yesterday, i’ve been getting the elevator dropping/walking on a mattress/falling through the floor/like a bouncing ball is in my head sensation like 20x worse than usual.
i’ve been trying my best to continue doing normal activities but it genuinely feels as if my eyes and head are rolling every time it happens (which is like every 5 seconds). i haven’t had vertigo it’s just the awful swaying and dropping that i can feel more intensely in my head and in my whole body.
it’s also caused a huge headache which i’m assuming is tension and dizziness combined.
anyone have any suggestions on how to lessen the intensity or do i just need to wait it out again?
acid reflux and anxiety
hey guys! i wasn’t sure whether to post this here or in another thread. bit of a long post sorry but i’m extremely stuck rn and not getting many answers.
okay backstory, i have severe anxiety which manifested into chronic nausea issues as of 2022 (along with emetophobia), and as of august 2025 i started experiencing a lot of stomach issues.
i’ve had several tests including ultrasounds, gastroscopy, blood tests etc and the only thing that came back was “minor acid reflux”.
i’ve had acid reflux here and there throughout my whole life but this seems purely manifested by anxiety. anyway besides the point the main thing i’m struggling with is a sensation that feels like constant pressure in my stomach, liquid in the back of my throat/feeling of something stuck in my throat, very violent belching that sometimes struggles to get out, clicking in throat when swallowing which makes it difficult to swallow food, food struggling to go down into stomach making my esophogus hurt, a prickly feeling in my stomach and throat like pins or thorns, and of course, almost constant nausea.
i’m on antidepressants and have prescribed oemprazole 20mg to take each morning.
i’m really unsure what to do atm, it gets really bad when i’m in public which flares my anxiety too cause i always feel like i’m going to throw up. does anyone else have this sensation and is there anything i can do for it?
everything i’ve been told to do doesn’t seem to be helping :(
not feeling great
(maybe tw?) went to sleep last night and woke up at 12:30am and 3am for a while each time feeling sick. i didn’t panic as this happens frequently but my stomach felt quite off yesterday and crampy last night too. woke up in the morning still feeling queasy but had a bowl of oats and a coffee. nausea got progressively worse and stomach cramps got worse too. i took zofran and have been chewing gum which i know are safety behaviours but it feels different to the usual anxiety nausea i feel. i keep getting huge waves of nausea in my stomach and throat and it feels like something is going to come up.
just hate the anticipation of feeling sick and don’t have anyone else to talk to about it
Walking
i usually try to go for a walk every day outside for about 30 minutes. when i start walking it’s okay but about halfway through my eyes start to feel quite heavy and i feel a bit out of it, almost like i’m drunk and everything looks fuzzy around me.
when i finish walking is when i feel the symptoms most. i’ll come to a stop and my entire body is tingling (blood pumping ovbi) but when i look at the ground or just ahead of me it looks like everything is moving away from me. kind of like the ground looking like one of those black and white optical illusions. this also happens if i drive for more than 15 minutes or so. it comes along with a dropping sensation like i’m on a boat, but that is pretty much constant anyway just worse after walking.
just wondering if anyone else has this, it only happens when i’m moving forwards for a certain amount of time and it’s quite trippy. i try not to stress about it but it makes everything look distorted so it’s a bit hard not to.
