Hello, I am in the U.S. on a student visa, and I have passed the written driving test. I have a driver's license from my home country and a learner's permit in the U.S.
My husband and I rented a car, and he is teaching me how to drive. He sits in the passenger seat while I practice. He has US driving licence.

I have two questions:

1. Is it legal for me to drive with my learner's permit while my husband is sitting next to me so I can practice? I want to make sure I won't get a ticket.
2. Is it okay to take the driving test in a rental car? I have full insurance, the rental agreement, and the vehicle registration.
