Trying to give a gem grim is not as simple as it seems

Dropped at Sinister Strip, waved my flares around (yes I’m pretty sure it’s a reference to Nicholas Cage in The Rock), killed 2 bots and still ended up in the top 10.

At the end, a John Wick came and took it. I saw them use a portable extractor so I’m happy thinking it was one they were missing.

When it disappeared, I got really worried I didn’t get it in time.

I did, my first gem sprite!

John Wick sprite and a portable extractor in the same box?

I guess I won’t have to worry about wining the game or finding a vending machine!

How accurate is the calorie load of the exercise logged manually?

A few months ago went back to doing karate, something I did in the ancient era of the 1900s.

I’m not wearing my Fitbit tracker during the class for safety reasons.

I’m a pretty heavy fellow at 5'10 280lbs 37%BF. I’m dripping buckets of sweat all over the dojo, and the already heavy fabric of the gi is getting even heavier with sweat as the class goes on. (Yay self-adjusting weighted-vest?)

When I logged it in Fitbit, it said it was equivalent to 93 calories. It feels low for how exhausted I am after 1h compared to just walking my son to school which burns a lot more (according to Fitbit). I know it’s not high speed running but it’s still pretty intense isometric exercise coupled with explosive movements.

If I log it in MyFitnessPal, it says 1270 calories, it’s a pretty large margin between the two.

Is it because Fitbit is looking at my heart rate in the time I indicated the exercise and gives it a factor of 0 because I wasn’t wearing my tracker?

Am I crazy or is this house really familiar?

I know we already had a DragonBall Z season, with the actual Kame House, but this has to be a reference, right?

I think my son will file for emancipation after that fumble

The other day my my son asked me to play on his account after his bedtime so I could level up a few of his sprites.

I took a gamble, I equipped his Level 4 Dream Sprite thinking I’d drop as far as possible from the bus path, open a few chests and containers and then extract it.

Unfortunately, a lot of other players liked my landing spot. After eliminating waves after waves of players with the starter pistol, an uncommon rifle and way too few ammo, losing 2 gallons of sweat, I managed to survive and extracted the sprite. I got eliminated a few minutes later but I had succeeded in my mission.

I was pretty proud of myself (I’m usually being carried by him when we play together).

I wanted to show him how well I did and had him watch the replay in the career tab.

That’s when we saw it…

The very first chest I opened, a Burnt Peanut Sprite jumped out, and I never saw it. It jumped between the wall and a bookcase and I was so nervous hearing all the footsteps around me.

Just that morning he was telling me how rare it was and how many players were starting to lose hope finding it.

He said “that’s ok dad, you did see it, I understand..” but… I saw it in his eyes….
