Pregabalim and cognitive effects
I have a shoulder problem; I’m in a lot of pain. I wake up at night in pain, and sometimes I feel like crying. I can’t stand still in one place because of the pain, and there are days when I feel like I’m going to go crazy... I’m only 24 years old....
I’m studying for the national exams to get into college, and I need 100% of my brainpower available. I’m afraid of cognitive decline, and that it will interfere with my studies (the pain alone isn’t enough). The doctor prescribed me 75 mg at night. Right now I don’t take any pain medication, just alprazolam about 2 or 3 times a week, as a last resort, when I really can’t take it anymore.
I use vortioxetine.
What do you think? It’s hard to deal with all of this: the pressure of taking a difficult exam, learning difficult things, feeling a lot of pain, working....
