Comfortable na sa current role, but compensation growth feels slow. Should I accept a new offer even if it means starting all over again?

Need insights lang sana from people who experienced moving from one bank to another while still being relatively comfortable sa current role. The new role is very similar lang din sa ginagawa ko ngayon, but nasa kabilang side na ako ng process.

Right now, okay talaga current environment ko:

  • good boss/team
  • manageable workload
  • flexible setup
  • promotion daw by next year Q1 as part of counteroffer discussion (siguro mga around +15 to 20%)
  • stable and comfortable na ako overall

Current comp ko roughly:

  • around 48k basic with 16-month setup
  • around 8k monthly allowance (rice allowance, etc.)
  • convertible SLs annually
  • variable bonuses usually around x2-x2.5 ng monthly basic

Then I received another offer:

  • 83k basic (max budget na after nego)
  • effectively around ~97k gross monthly dahil monthly distributed yung ibang guaranteed month pay
  • flexible setup din
  • closer sa current home so easier commute

If monthly gross lang titignan, around +60% increase siya which malaking bagay for cashflow and long-term finances. Pero if annual package comparison including current bonuses/allowances, parang around +29% vs sa guaranteed pay ng new yung magiging difference nalang, then maybe around +35-40% if isasama estimated variable bonuses nung new role. Very similar din ng non-monetary benefits.

Wala naman akong major issue sa current company aside from compensation growth feeling slower than market. Kaya hirap din ako magdecide kasi okay naman talaga current setup ko. Pero at the same time, parang sayang din yung opportunity habang nasa 20s palang ako.

Siguro part din bakit mahirap magdecide is maganda na kasi current performance and established na ako sa current role. More on maintaining nalang versus starting over again sa bagong systems, processes, people, expectations, etc. Pero during the interviews, mukhang mabait naman yung magiging boss ko and surprisingly same yung vibes compared nung time na ininterview ako sa current company ko before.

While playing this section, I cant help but feel the vibes are really similar to RE2's greenhouse section especially the voiceovers when you clear the trees like dispensing the cartridge. It feels like I’m in NEST again.

The only thing missing is an Ivy zombie where I am expecting one to pop out at any moment.

I haven’t seen any discussion here about the ray tracing enhancement mod for Pragmata, so I decided to try it myself:

https://www.nexusmods.com/pragmata/mods/60

https://youtu.be/nZFvwcyLA4s?si=GFXMvZfvkTxezUO1

Using my RX 9070 XT, a lot of the usual boiling and shimmering artifacts are basically gone compared to the in-game RT setting. Reflections and lighting also look noticeably better (subjective) for me, to the point where I can see my own reflection and other objects in a way that feels closer to Path Tracing similar to what we see in Resident Evil Requiem which is not possible on AMD cards.

Performance-wise, I’m averaging around 110–120 FPS in the Mass Production Sector while fighting the Executor, which is one of the more demanding areas while having around 130+ fps on other areas.

Settings:

- FSR 4 Performance (4K)

- Optimized settings close to Max RT preset

- FSR Frame Gen ON

Big thanks to u/JoHien visuals here look way better than the basic REFramework RT tweaks with Path Space Filter + ASVGF.

Honestly, I was already considering dropping $200–500 to switch to an RTX 5070 Ti / 5080 and call it a day… but now I’m very happy. This setup and setting is actually a great experience on my 4K LG C4 42”, and I’m having a blast.
