I don’t own any genius pieces (i had him built with wind for therta 100/110) and I’m picking up a cyrene, who i know is also notoriously hard to build to hit speed breakpoints. I only have izumo for anaxa so I do need to farm for planars.

Basically what’s more efficient? Using it for anaxa (genius+rutilant) or cyrene (deliverer+amphoreus/vonvacq).

Which of these two did u have a harder time building, where relic recon would’ve made it easier? Did you pick either of them for relic recon and felt like it was a waste?

New calcs don’t do the greatest job of explaining why which LCs are better or worse. S5 BP lc is not 5% worse than his LC, it just gives 5% less teamwide amp compared to his LC. In terms of his DPS, it’s 12% worse. It also requires 67% ehr. The main reason you’d get his limited LC is for the turn 1 ult, the amp itself is meh. Otherwise he needs one basic and to be hit atleast 3 times to pop his ult. Here are his best options for each specific purpose.

Best Utility/Overall - Tutorial - You only need one basic and to be hit twice to ult. (only works if u run him with ashveil or a unit who can apply def shred before his turn). Closest to his Limited LC out of all the nihility options.

Best Support - Pearls - with ashveil, brings def shred up to 86%. (requires 67% ehr). Might be better teamwide amp than his limited LC for any teams that already have def shred and won’t overcap with this addition.

Best DPS - GNSW - 72% dmg boost - (Boundless Choreo has similar performance, go with whichever has higher superimposition).

Addressing the nihlity bp LC - It has worse teamwide amp than pearls for the ashveil team, by a lot more than the calcs are hinting. Its dmg is also worse than GNSW, and unlike it, holiday requires 67% ehr. Even jf there is a 32% dmg boost at S5 Holiday, u won’t fully utilize it cause you’ll be rolling to get ehr. At S1 holiday, it’s not even close.

I personally wouldn’t recommend getting the BP specifically for this LC, let alone for 5 patches ($50) so it can compare with LCs you already own.

TLDR - If you weren’t gonna roll ehr for pearls, don’t do it for Holiday. Focus on reaching 160 speed and 80 cr, and any cd/hp% that comes along the way, and then run tutorial and if u can’t cause u run kafka, gnsw/choreo.

Edit: If you have these laying around, Cipher LC is the best support option. For dps, Acheron LC is better than S5 Boundless Choreo (idk how much better than GNSW though).

I have him e0s0 and I’ve got therta’s lc. I’ll have 3 costs worth of pulls by the end of 4.3. Regardless I don’t want to invest most than three costs on him. Which team would u consider is better at getting 3 stars against aa knights?

I started the game with aba. She’s the whole reason I got into the franchise. I’ve been playing fighting games for a while and I’ve always picked characters based on how much fun I have with their gameplay. Unfortunately this has left me with only ever picking male characters who I don’t care about outside gameplay.

Aba fundamentally sucks as a first character cause her base form stops me from learning simple things like dash grab. While she’ll be my main once I gain enough knowledge about counterplay against the cast, I need someone for now. My options are base game and season 3 pass characters.

Ideally I want someone with a reversal super, high speed, good overheads, good at dealing with zoning and feels overly safe on block. Someone said half the cast is as strong as Jam, need help figuring out who those characters are.

So far, I’ve tried slayer and he was too hard. Couldn’t come up my own combos or do the ones I found online. Tried Johnny and I was able to come up with a midscreen wallbreak combo without looking at his move list the second I tried him out. He seems very complex though, I usually suck with setup characters. I’m open to any suggestions but I’m not interested in the bear twink shoto couple or a zoner.

This was originally gonna include a rant about how the sexy gender binary is a big part of the fgc, but I doubt many of y’all are here to read criticisms of gender representation in gaming, SO YOU CAN SKIP THIS PART. Still, if you do care or find that stuff interesting I kept a little excerpt below and I highly recommend you watch ‘video games and the sexy gender binary’ by verilybitchie on youtube. It won’t be hard contextualizing it to the fgc once you’re done the video.

Idk why but most fighting game franchises are incapable of drawing lanky girls unless they’re built like kids/teens. As a tall lanky girl, I feel like aba is the only fg character ever i’ve seen that I feel represented in. Even then, you go on her mains sub and a lot of fan art draws her with bigger boobs than baiken. It rlly feels like some ppl in the fgc can’t process female characters not having knockers unless it’s a child. This obviously applies to gaming as a whole, just sucks that it also happens in one of my favourite genres and is a core part of it.
