Hi all. I'm looking for recommendations for my first 50 miler somewhere on the US' east coast. I just finished my 3rd ultra (~41 miles) last weekend and 50 miles is my ultimate goal. I mostly trail ran out west in the Rockys and loved it but have since moved east. I don't *love* super technical/rocky trails that are hard to run over, so looking for something with a runnable trail but still feels like a proper trail run.

I have a list of a couple different ones I've kind of narrowed it down to, but would be open to advice from people that have run these or with ideas of others! I'm in the DC area for context.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse but I'm talking specifically about not using headphones with phones.

Why has it become ok for people to be on speaker phone or FaceTime, watching videos, playing games, etc. in public with no headphones on? I don't want to have to listen to your conversation or shitty music while I'm out. I understand that if someone else was there in person they'd be talking, but it's so different on a phone and obnoxious af. It seems like it's skyrocketed since Covid but maybe it's always been a thing.
