Animal Testing and Medications

Soon, I'm 12 years vegan and I don't know how to handle this, but..

.. animal testing is mandatory when it comes to the pharmaceutical industry.

As a consequence, there are practically 0 truly vegan medications.

How do you handle this? I feel bad knowing how many animals are unalived in the name of science / in the name of progressing human lives.

Would you refuse your life saving medication in the name of veganism?

I know, it's a harsh question but as a strict vegan.. You can imagine where this sentence /question is leading to.

I'm eager to read how our community responds to this!
