I have been lucky enough to cover Wimbledon for a few years and know how fortunate I am to watch the finals from Centre Court, but this was no classic - the shortest average rally length since 2017 and second shortest since 2010

It was... boring. This isn't a problem Sinner or Zverev need to fix, but is anyone else worried about the direction of men's tennis? Two straight grand slams without Alcaraz have exposed the lack of superstars with personality to boot - but maybe we were spoiled in the 2010s?

I have attended Wimbledon as a fan and fortunately now as a reporter for 8 years - I have seen the queue triple in popularity (at least?!) the past decade - on Saturday a Czech couple stopped me outside Court 12 asking about how to get a seat... they were in disbelief that there was another queue - one of 92 I counted around the grounds - for many this is normal and expected, it's a sporting event after all, but I found the experience has surprised many who arrive unaware
