

intense sugar cravings + carb overload
Hi all 👋🏼 my apologies if this has already been discussed within the sub, I am new here and have been so inspired by all of your wonderful posts.
I’m 30, 5’9 and 92 kgs (202lbs) I am currently at my absolute heaviest and have been for for the last few years give or take 6 kilos here and there - side note, I suffer from endometriosis, EDS, bipolar (depression episodes can make life incredibly sedentary and have me bed ridden for up to a week when they are really severe) however I’m really motivated to get my life back.
I’m starting Monjaro next week and I am on 500mg Metformin ER as well as spironolactone - my issue is sugar and carbs, I cannot for the life of me get a handle on it!
I love my liquids (full sugar red bull, cherry coke, Vanilla Coke, juice) and my carb intake js truly out of control; I east mostly vegetarian just because I prefer it but I will opt for fish or chicken when i need protein and the occasional steak before my period. I’ve always been a diet soda girl but over the last year I’ve absolutely spiralled with the full sugar drinks and reaching for high carb, comfort food options - I don’t know where to start with low carb and I was thinking i’d keep my soda to have as a treat on a Saturday, say one cherry coke a week rather than immediately cutting everything out - I just feel so overwhelmed, I’m stuck in this loop of frustration and I really want to show up for myself, I am all ears if you have any tips + supplement recommendations + treat alternatives + stories of your own experiences if you’ve been through the same thing.
