Finally

Finally

Finally, I’ve managed to stick to a nicotine-free lifestyle for a full year!

Since 2018, I’ve made several serious attempts to quit, lasting anywhere from a few days to a few weeks or even a few months, in no particular order.

2023 was the first year of my life in which I spent more days without nicotine than I did smoking or vaping.

In August 2024, I reset this timer app once again. Unfortunately, I still relapsed on 12 separate days between then and October 2025, although thankfully, never on consecutive days.

During that period, I almost completely isolated myself from the world. I wasn’t working, partying, or really socializing at all. My social life had practically dropped to zero.

By doing so, I was able to confront my biggest trigger: mixing tobacco with cannabis. This usually happened when I’d forgotten my dry herb vaporizer, the battery had run out, someone offered me a spliff (which, where I live, is typically mixed with tobacco), or I simply wanted to hit the bong on New Year’s Eve (yeah, I know, crazy — a bong with a mix of both!).

Making sure I always had my cannabis vaporizer, a spare battery, and those little capsules with me gave me peace of mind. With that confidence, I started the timer app again.

And here I am: **ONE WHOLE YEAR NICOTINE-FREE!**

I’m SO GRATEFUL to the COMMUNITY here on Reddit, as well as to r/quitvaping and r/stopsmoking. Especially during the early stages of each attempt to quit, YOU helped me SO MUCH and gave me the STRENGTH to keep going.

Without your SUPPORT honestly I could have not made it this far.

**THANK YOU ALL!

FYI: as English is not my first language, I used AI (SI) to correct my writings
