AITAH - Ex Wife Being Weird About Gift For Grandson
AITAH my ex and I generally get along well but… we have a grandson who will turn 2 in about a month. He loves to stack things and then knock them down, typical boy behavior. My ex wanted to give him some blocks that were home made for a BD present. I love woodworking and have all the tools to do it well. She asked me to cut some wood into pieces so that she could give them to him. I cut a five gallon bucket full of blocks in various shapes and sizes, sanded them, and sprayed them with clear lacquer and gave them to her. She was upset because I hijacked her gift. I never asked to take credit for it, or even be mentioned. It was her idea and I just facilitated it for her because she did not have the skills to see it all the way through. Now she has asked me to cut more blocks so that she can do it herself. She wants to start all over. Tell me did I overstep or is this just weird? Not entirely a new behavior from her but the first time she has been this adamant about it. It’s scrap wood so it’s no cost, but it just seems passive aggressive about it.
