Seeing the RE Veronica trailer made me realize how much I adore this franchise

For starters , about 3 months ago I had never played a single RE game. Decided to play Village when it was free on ps plus and after really enjoying it bought 7 and the 2-4 remake collection.

As of today Ive beaten all mainline games including 9, CV, and even the original RE 2 and 3.Needless to say I fucking love these games, their characters, and incredible atmospheres they manage to pull off. Every game is awesome ( except 6 which was ok) but my top 5 starting with best would probably be RE1R, Re4R, Re9, Re3r, Re2r, with 4R have just a slight edge over 9. I also 100% think that RE1R is one of the best videogames ever created, period.

I was watching the summerfest stream yesterday, and when Claire was revealed and with it the Veronica remake I felt a sort of excitement I havent felt in a looong time. You know, the type where your smiling ear to ear and just giggling like a 5 year old.

Most media for the past few years just hasnt hit the same for me , partly ofcourse because I simply am older, but this reminded me the hype I felt for videogames when I was younger and seeing a new Star Wars or Game of Thrones trailer

So thank you Capcom for managing to make me feel like a kid again .👏

Anyone have a good strategy for the chainsaw zombie at the gas station (LMFD)

Im at rank 2 and everytime I get a solid run going I die at the chainsaw guy. Using the other chainsaw against him takes forever, Leon drops it at every other parry animation and even if I get all the parries right, sometimes he simply gets a swing in during my own attack animations which insta kills me. Using guns also seems sub optimal. Do yall have any tips or strategies? (except for git gud lol)

Or should I simply skip picking up the gas canister altogether and go straight to the blister boss?

Thanks!

Leons section in RC has it flaws but saying the graphics are bad/ it looks like a ps3 military shooter is insane to me.

Some of the detail above is lost due to compression but man, seeing them in my media gallery at first I couldnt believe they were screengrabs from gameplay. Now RC in Requiem gets a lot of shit , and while it can be argued that the art direction/color pallete in Leon sections is bland, I dont think Ive seen a game with this level of lighting , shadows and overall photorealism before. And Ive played a LOT of good looking games.

Agree?/thoughts?

Its the one part of the game that we still barely know anything about, but I believe its a pretty quintessential part of the Bond experience.

I have a feeling it wont amount to much more than a handful of scripted sequences but I really hope I will be proven wrong.

What do yall think/ expect?
